A secretary marries a wealthy man, but his over bearing father get the marriage annulled after one night. He goes off and marries a proper woman for his class, meanwhile she is pregnant after the one night and brings up the baby without telling the father. She then ends up being supported by her boss who is already married. This is the first sound film from Gloria Swanson and the film that helped her on the way to stardom. The plot is more soap opera than drama, but Gloria Swanson is good as she successfully makes the transition to talkies and also sings as well.
